Guitarist, Singer, Songwriter, Bandleader, Grammy Nominated Featured Artist, Impresario.

At the age of five, Jim was chosen to be the MC of his kindergarten class' Christmas play. He was first out on stage greeting the crowd and introducing the skits. Since then not much has changed.

Since forming A & R Music the many artists Jim has engaged with and the repertoire he and his musicians perform has grown exponentially. Hence A&R Music. With a B.A. degree in Music Performance and a 15 year history in music education Jim's knowledge of both music theory and artistic expression and his ability to communicate on many levels has enabled him to achieve success in numerous areas. Roots, Pop, Jazz, Rock, Children's music, it's all Soul music. 

At last check Jim has logged over 1000 gigs in the last few years in over 150 different venues.

Recent recording activity includes: Grammy nominated featured artist on the "Fitness Rock & Roll" CD by Miss Amy & Her Big Kids Band. Ten Foot Tall has completed a 4 song EP with Grammy winning producer David Ivory. The lead track "Get Back On The Highway" has been licensed by Crucial Music for Film/TV placement and has won Sonicbids song contest sponsored by Gary Allen (Charlie Daniels, JJ Cale.) In addition to recording with The Backdoor Band he has recently recorded with Jen Starr (opening act for Ray Charles) on her debut CD and received extensive airplay for the song Nothin's Guaranteed the title track from the Ten Foot Tall Band's eponymous CD. Their follow up titled Feelin' Fine is out now and can be purchased on iTunes and CD Baby. 

Notable performances include a run of shows in the north east opening for Los Lonely Boys, opening for Dave Mason, jazz gigs with Richie Cole (Doc Severinson, Buddy Rich, Lionel Hampton. ) Ten Foot Tall's Starland Ballroom shows with Marshall Tucker and backing Rock & Roll hall of famer Bernie Worrell (Parliament, Talking Heads) at the 2010 Sourland Music Festival, as well as billings with Steve Forbert and Robert Hazard. And not least, performing outside at the White House, 1600 Pennsylvania Ave for thousands.

Somewhere in between there were piano lessons with Sister Mary of the Sacred Heart, guitar and piano lessons with some rock guy named Tee, all nighters wearing out the needle  as well as continued studies with Grammy nominated Jazz greats Dave Stryker,Pat Martino, Peter Bernstein and Vic Juris.

When Jim is not performing or teaching he can be found playing with his two young daughters or hiking some lonely mountain.
